Since joining Davis Coffer Lyons in February 2006, Margaret has worked as a senior member of the Landlord & Tenant team dealing with catering and licensed premises. She is a rent review and lease renewal adviser and negotiator with over 10 years experience in private practice.
Margaret has specialist knowledge and extensive experience dealing with property throughout London’s West End and she is currently one of the most active landlord advisers in Covent Garden.
Advising clients that include Shaftesbury plc, CapCo, and Scottish Widows she was instrumental in negotiating some of the biggest rent reviews in Covent Garden during 2010-2011 and driving rental growth by as much 45% in some cases.
She is frequently instructed on high profile cases and has advised on properties including The London Transport Museum; Quo Vadis, Dean Street; Meza & Floridita Soho’s largest restaurant, exceeding £1 million per annum; Sketch; Atelier Joel Robuchon; Senkai; Zuma; and The River Café. She has also negotiated the rent review for the Reebok Club in Canary Wharf, the largest health and fitness club in London, and has previously been appointed by the Theatres Trust to negotiate rent reviews on the Garrick and Lyric Theatres.
Margaret is also involved with restaurant and bar reviews for institutional Landlords like RLAM, Threadneedle, Kent County Council Pension Fund and IGNIS in locations such as Bath (Ha Ha Bar), Richmond (Wagamama and Pizza Express), Enfield (Pizza Hut) and Tunbridge Wells (Frankie & Bennys).
